We replace all glass in vehicles.
Although you’d probably think the front windscreen makes up the majority of our work, the side and rear glass on vehicles is something we do everyday!
This vehicle had its side glass broken as a result of a break-in.
If you need a broken window repaired in your car, give us a call on 0800 BROKEN.
We offer a call out service to Auckland customers. If your car has a broken glass or needs a windscreen repair, ask for our MOBILE SERVICE – we’ll organise to come to you.
If you need a glass part for your car, there’s some information you can give us which helps us give you an accurate quotation:
Windscreen prices vary by vehicle, and to make things slightly more complex, the price of the windscreen itself usuallyisn’t determined only by the size of the windscreen.
Windscreen shape, edging and color also influence the price.
All our phone sales staff are experienced in our industry, and NOT call centre staff. When you contact Direct Autoglass for a car windscreen price, we’ll be able to give it to you right away without having to call you back!
Simply give us your:

More quarter glass break-ins! Yes, our glaziers are continually coming back with pictures of car break-ins.
Strangely we are seeing a trend whereby these windows are being broken, but not even pushed through to open the door.
We are having plenty of customers telling us the window was broken, but nothing inside the vehicle touched or taken.
If your glass is broken, rather than trying to push it through – simply give us a call on 0800 BROKEN and one of our vans will come out to you within Auckland.
Our glazier will clean & vacuum so no broken glass fragments stay stuck in the upholstery.
Windscreen Repairs for Warrants of Fitness are something most people don’t even consider.
However a WOF issuing agent is within the law to decline a warrant of fitness for any vehicle that has ANY unrepaired windscreen damage.
Most windscreen chips under 50mm anywhere on the windscreen are OK for repair, and some that are much larger can sometimes be repaired.
The chip repair on the left is an example of a chip repair under 50mm (just) that cannot be repaired.
This is because there are actually two separate points of damage. (The inner crater damage, and the outer half-moon ring.)
The crushed area in the crater is greater than 10mm, and thus this windscreen is unrepairable.
